Material Design 3 (baseline)
M3 does not publish a hand-picked color table: a seed color is mapped into Google's HCT color space and expanded into tonal palettes, where every tone 0–100 has a defined perceptual lightness. These values are generated with Google's officialmaterial-color-utilitieslibrary from the baseline seed #6750a4 — the same seed and algorithm behind Material You's dynamic color. Algorithm output can differ by a single rounding step from the rounded tokens in Google's design files; the algorithm is authoritative here. © Google LLC, Apache License 2.0.

Web safe colors (216)
The classic cube: every combination of the channel steps 00, 33, 66, 99, CC and FF. A relic of the 8-bit era, still used as a conservative baseline.
Named colors too
